Big Data Everywhere in Israel will be hosted by HP Vertica at the HP Software offices in Yahud, Israel on June 22nd and approximately 200 attendees are expected for the all-day event. The conference offers a mix of tutorials and presentations with a midday luncheon and post-event social networking session. Twingo and WE-Ankor are also sponsors of Big Data Everywhere.
Ted Dunning, committer to Apache Mahout, Drill and ZooKeeper projects and chief application architect for MapR, will lead two morning tutorial sessions on "Practical Machine Learning: How to Build a Recommender" and "Building HBase Applications with Examples." Tomer Shiran, VP of product management for MapR, will provide a keynote presentation looking at "The Future of Hadoop."
Several sessions from companies currently using Hadoop, including Pontis and Kenshoo, will cover real-world use cases. Other presentations will look at Apache Spark and Vertica on Hadoop.
