New York, NY, June 19, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Telly Awards has named Synaptic Digital as a Bronze winner in the 35th Annual Telly Awards for their Four Part Video Series on Trailering. With nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.
The series was created on behalf of GMC to provide consumers with advice on towing a camper or trailer with a full size pickup truck and was hosted by James Bell, GM's Head of Consumer Affairs. The series begins with Bell attending GMC's Trailering Academy at the Camarillo Airport near Los Angeles where he demonstrates how to tow a large Airstream trailer with a 2014 GMC Sierra. In the second video Bell gives viewers a tour inside the luxury camper. The third and fourth videos take place along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway and show Bell effortlessly towing the Airstream with the Sierra as he shares additional tips and advice about safe towing while highlighting the benefits of the vehicle. The videos earned significant placement on a variety of online outlets and remain on GMC YouTube channel where they continue to generate views. Click here to watch the first video.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
For its 35th season, The Telly Awards once again joined forces with YouTube to give the public the power to view and rate videos submitted as part of the People's Telly Awards. In addition to recognition from the Silver Telly Council, the judging panel that selects the Telly Awards winners, the Internet community helps decides the People's Telly Awards winners.
A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other - rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, our highest honor. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
"The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video," said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. "Synaptic Digital's accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production."
"This was a fun and unique project for us and we are fortunate to be able to collaborate with our clients at GMC who are always willing to work with us in finding new ways to tell their story and engage their audience" said Executive Producer, Chris Hansen.
