EDISON, N.J., June 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Effective April 1, 2014, Backsmart Wellness Center has announced it is relocating its healthcare facility to 1090 King Georges Post Road, Suite 501, Edison, NJ. Due to their enormous growth, the Edison chiropractors and wellness center staff have expanded the treatment space and added state-of-the-art equipment and technology at the new facility designed to treat the entire body for people living in the Edison area.
Backsmart will continue to offer chiropractic care, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, nutritional counseling and certified hypnotherapy by licensed healthcare professionals, as well as pain management under the care of a triple board-certified physician. Patients may continue to submit pre-screening information and forms on the Backsmart Wellness Center website prior to their visits. All of the services at the wellness center can be used independently or in conjunction with conventional medical treatments and coordinated by the Backsmart Wellness Center staff and each patient's primary care physician.
Dr. Michael J. Lagana, D.C., founder and executive director of Backsmart Wellness Center, says that the clinic has five like-minded physicians and medical professionals working together to offer patients multiple avenues of treatment before surgical intervention is undertaken. The chiropractor adds that the facility always offers drug free treatment first, but if the staff chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapist or acupuncturist are unable to fully relieve a patient's pain, the on-site physician is able to administer epidurals and other pain relief medication.
The wellness center was established in 1998 to offer patients non-invasive therapies for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain, such as chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage and nutritional counseling. Dr. Lagana stated, "It is our goal to continue to provide our patients with a comprehensive array of wellness services under one roof, but in a new, expansive facility. All services are rendered by a highly qualified team of licensed healthcare professionals."

The newly expanded facility will continue to be open Monday through Saturday to serve residents of the Edison metro area.
