YORBA LINDA, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 30, 2014) - Brandywine Homes started construction this month on Covington, a 5.1-acre urban infill community with 51 townhomes near Yorba Linda Boulevard and Blair Street, across from the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, in Yorba Linda, Calif. This project is scheduled to be completed by fall 2015.
"Covington represents something not seen in a very long time in Yorba Linda: a community in the very heart of the land of gracious living," said Dave Barisic, vice president of sales and marketing at Brandywine Homes, a pioneer of infill development in Southern California. "It is a one-of-a-kind community."
The approximately 1,750- to 2,100-square foot townhomes, designed by Theron Pate of Pate Smeall Architects, will incorporate craftsman elements into its elegant architecture, designed to blend with the surrounding neighborhoods. These luxury homes will include gourmet kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Residents will have access to common amenities including a recreation center, a community meeting room and a pool.
Yorba Linda, an affluent suburb in Orange County, is the birthplace of former President Richard Nixon. Yorba Linda High School opened in 2009, and several of the district's schools have received the California Distinguished School award. The city's population has grown by 13 percent, to 66,735, since 2000.
