LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2014) - Players and sponsors of the 16th Annual AGEM/AGA Golf Classic Presented by JCM Global came from all facets of the gaming industry, united behind one cause: The National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG). The result was an incredible day of fun and fundraising, netting $131,000 to support the NCRG's important research.
With the incredibly generous support from 16 sponsors and a total of 136 players, the event was one of the most successful in the tournament's 16-year history. To date, the AGEM/AGA Golf Classic Presented by JCM Global has raised nearly $1.4 million in support of the National Center for Responsible Gaming.
"Year after year, this event showcases the dedication and commitment of the gaming industry to fund the highest quality research and education initiatives through the National Center for Responsible Gaming," said Alan Feldman, NCRG chairman and executive vice president of global government and industry affairs for MGM Resorts International. "We are grateful for the generosity of the players and companies who support this annual event."
"We are very grateful to all of the events sponsors, many of which are AGEM members, for stepping up their support for the NCRG. The research the NCRG conducts is critically important to our industry, and we thank each sponsor and player for the generous way they are aiding this cause," said AGEM Executive Director Marcus Prater.
