It is anticipated that most of the services requested under the contract will be related to supporting the agency in assessing and remediating environmental impacts at abandoned mine sites and sites containing hazardous waste, and mitigating safety hazards to users of BLM lands; but services could also include ground water investigations, water resources studies, or computer modeling of ground water basins. The majority of work is expected to occur in the States of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
E & E has managed environmental and engineering contracts for federal agencies for over 40 years, including the two prior BPA contracts with BLM from 2000 to 2014, under which E & E successfully completed 56 projects encompassing 79 sites and totaling more than $7.7 million.
