NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - July 22, 2014) - Shaping the future of ecommerce marketing, HookLogic recently held the inaugural meeting of its advisory board, during which five brand veterans offered guidance on how to lead the convergence of brand, search and trade marketing.
Having pioneered commerce search advertising and established an exchange among many of the world's largest retailers, HookLogic is tapping brands for product and strategic feedback on how to improve and expand its offerings. The new board will advise on the company's entry into new categories and experimentation with new platforms and media that can extend its role in the digital ecosystem.
"As brands realize they need to approach ecommerce more strategically, they increasingly turn to HookLogic," said Intel U.S. Media Director David Veneski, one of the new advisory board members. "Many brands have an ecommerce team, but have yet to budget beyond a few tests. Those budgets are beginning to grow, and we're here to help them grow even faster, even as we plan for the next big growth areas."
These are the members of the board:
- Katherine Skinner, VP at Symphony IRI Group, formerly of Coca-Cola -- brought on for her data expertise;
- David Veneski, Intel's longtime digital marketing leader and now its U.S. media director;
- Eric Johns, integrated marketing manager at Johnson & Johnson, formerly of Universal McCann;
- Eric Siebert, VP of global digital marketing at the Boston Scientific Company, formerly of Samsung, IBM and Unilever; and
- Jan Valentic, former SVP of marketing at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, and formerly of Young & Rubicam and the Ford Motor Company
"We've built our leadership position by addressing client needs, and each of our dynamic advisors understands the needs of key clients and sectors where our company plans to grow," said HookLogic CEO and Cofounder Jonathan Opdyke. "By helping us understand those needs, our advisors will help us reach new markets. We're thrilled to have their help."
