Pulitzer Prize Winning Journalist and Business Executive Sheryl WuDunn Joins Fuel Freedom Foundation's Board of Advisors

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 13, 2014) - Fuel Freedom Foundation today announced that Sheryl WuDunn, the first Asian-American reporter to win a Pulitzer Prize, will be joining the Fuel Freedom Foundation advisory board.

Fuel Freedom Foundation is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that is working to reduce the cost of driving your existing car by opening the market to cheaper fuel choices at the pump. Achieving this goal will mean accelerated economic growth, greater energy security, reduced air pollution, lower greenhouse gas emissions and improved health.

WuDunn brings years of in-depth experience both as a seasoned entrepreneur, and an award-winning journalist who has been directly involved in alternative energy issues. In 2011, Newsweek cited WuDunn as one of the "150 Women Who Shake the World." In 2012, WuDunn was selected as one of 60 notable members of the League of Extraordinary Women by Fast Company magazine. Following that, in 2013, she was included as one of the "leading women who make America" in the PBS documentary, "The Makers." She is the co-author of the critically acclaimed book Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, which she co-wrote with her husband Nicholas D. Kristof.

Sheryl WuDunn currently works at a small banking boutique helping growth companies, including those operating in the emerging markets. She raises capital for a variety of clients in new media, technology and health-related industries. She is also co-founder of FullSky Capital, an advisory firm focused on socially driven ventures. 

Ms. WuDunn has an M.B.A. from Harvard, an M.P.A. from Princeton University and a B.A. from Cornell University. She is currently on the Board of Trustees at Princeton, and is a former Board Trustee at Cornell.
