The First Annual Canadian Cannabis Awards-Recognizing Excellence in the Medical Marijuana Industry in Canada

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Aug. 13, 2014) - Lift Cannabis Co. (ww.liftmj.com) is thrilled to announce that voting for the first annual Canadian Cannabis Awards has opened! The first of its kind in Canada, the awards create an opportunity for the Canadian medical marijuana community to recognize leaders in the field for innovation, creativity and for pushing the industry forward.

The awards also serve to unite a somewhat fragmented industry, and continues to follow Lift's mandate of creating a unified voice for patients and other industry stakeholders. Patients and members of the medical marijuana community can vote for their favourite strains, licensed producers, dispensaries, head shops, medical clinics, and social media accounts.

A special award has also been created for the 2014 Canadian Cannabis Crusader, an industry leader who has made a significant impact to the medical marijuana community in Canada. Nominees for this award include top medical marijuana lawyer John Conroy, Dr. Mark Ware, and activist and aspiring federal Liberal party nominee, Jodie Emery.
