Durham Animal Hospital Named as Finalist for Best of the Triangle Veterinary Practice

DURHAM, N.C., Aug. 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New Hope Animal Hospital of Durham is thrilled to announce its third year as a finalist in the Best of the Triangle poll. The 2014 award represents the third consecutive year for the New Hope Animal Hospital to finish as a finalist. This year's award, conducted by Independence Magazine, included over 7,500 votes. Once the votes were counted, New Hope Animal Hospital was listed as one of the standouts.

"This honor is particularly appreciated by the staff," said Dr. Soren Windram, "Because it's voted on by people who have trusted us to care for their pets. The fact that we have finished as finalists for three years, including a win, is outstanding validation of our efforts to provide quality care to area pets and their owners."

New Hope Animal Hospital serves the Durham and Chapel Hill areas, offering a wide range of care and treatment options for area pets. These services include standard veterinary care, emergency care, urgent care, cat boarding, dog boarding, and animal surgery.

Urgent and emergency care is available during normal office hours, Monday through Saturday, and treats everything from sudden illnesses, poisoning to car accidents and other life threatening conditions. Other services offered by the clinic include animal dentistry, pet vaccinations, and grooming services.

Dr. Windram believes the commitment of every staff member at New Hope Animal Hospital is behind their consecutive placement as a finalist three years in a row. He added, "New Hope Animal Hospital is pleased to be a finalist for Best of the Triangle 2014. We are proud to provide excellent service that is recognized by local pet owners."

The veterinarian indicates that his staff is especially touched by becoming a finalist because the award is voted on by the people around Durham. He says he sees the recognition as a special acknowledgment of the efforts of every staff member at the hospital. "With so many veterinarians in the area, to know that we've earned the respect of the community this way is a real honor – one we hope to continue earning in the years ahead."

"Remaining a leader in the industry for the local area is a group effort," emphasized Dr. Windram. "We couldn't maintain this level of excellence in care for our pets and pet owners without everyone working together."

Dr. Windram encourages pet owners to invest in their pet's health with routine veterinary care, regular checkups, up-to-date vaccinations, and quality boarding and kenneling while traveling. Anyone with questions about their pet's health is encouraged to call and schedule an appointment.
