Alutiiq Pacific Wins Security Contract for Airbus Assembly Line in Mobile, Alabama
Alaska Native company secures contract to provide security for assembly and testing site
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Aug. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alutiiq Pacific, LLC, a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation, has won a contract to provide security services for the Airbus A320 Assembly Line in Mobile, Alabama.
Alutiiq Pacific will provide physical security officers for site security and protection, fire and rescue first intervention capability, surveillance, control center operation, entry and exit control, reception, security administration and more.
Work allocated under the contract, valued at approximately $10 million, is scheduled begin in September 2014.

Airbus is a leading aircraft manufacturer that produces planes ranging from 100 to more than 500 seats. Based on state-of-the-art assembly lines in Hamburg, Germany and Tianjin, China, the Mobile site covers 49.5 acres and includes nearly 500,000 square feet of space. The site will be responsible for final aircraft assembly, painting, component testing and test flights.
