ST. LOUIS, Sept. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In keeping with its commitment to honor excellence, Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Aerospace Systems sector recognized 74 companies from the United States, Canada and Turkey with its annual supplier awards for 2013.
Northrop Grumman presents the annual supplier awards in two categories: Platinum Source Preferred and Suppliers of the Year. Thirty-two small businesses were honored, including six small disadvantaged-owned businesses as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Northrop Grumman grants the awards only to those Aerospace Systems sector suppliers that achieve distinction in product quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and robust, lean processes.

The honored suppliers included Tempco Engineering Inc, An LMI Aerospace company located in Sun Valley, CA. Tempco has been supporting Northrop Grumman Aerospace since 2010 by providing machined detail components and light assemblies (i.e. Jato Carrier Assy, Aileron, Engine Installation & Modification Kits) for the unmanned BKM –CHUKAR Targets drone program.
