Foko Photo Sharing and Messaging Service for the Enterprise Names Marc Gingras as New CEO

Led Company in Securing $450,000 in Angel Investments From Social Media, Startup and Venture Veterans


GATINEAU, QC--(Marketwired - Sep 30, 2014) - Foko, the premiere photo sharing and messaging service for the enterprise, announced today that Marc Gingras has joined as its new Chief Executive Officer. Eric Sauve, Foko's co-founder, will be taking on the role of Vice President of Product. Foko also announced today that it has secured $450,000 in seed funding from a number of social, technology and venture investment industry veterans.

Mr. Gingras is a serial entrepreneur having held key leadership roles in three early-stage companies that were purchased or went public, in the last decade. Most recently, his social-calendar company Tungle.me, which he founded and led as CEO, was acquired by BlackBerry in 2011. At BlackBerry he was given responsibility for redesigning the messaging, calendar, contacts and notes applications for BB10. He was the driving force for one of its most well received features the "Hub." He resigned from Blackberry in mid-2013.

Mr. Gingras secured the successful angel round for Foko. Its angel investors include:
