HOUSTON, Oct. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Apache Industrial Services announced two acquisitions expanding its footprint in two growing geographies, the Midwest and along the Gulf Coast in Sulphur/Lake Charles areas. The acquisitions of both Southern Insulation (Sulphur, LA) and Stark Sandblasting and Painting Company (Canton, OH) build upon the company's strong expertise in coatings, linings, fireproofing and insulation.
"We are extremely excited to welcome the Stark and Southern organizations to the Apache family. Both businesses are built on a solid foundation of engaged leadership, committed craftsmen and a long track record of success. Both companies share Apache's values, as well as its commitment to safety and its people," explained Mike Knigin, Apache Industrial Services CEO.
Both companies share Apache's business philosophy and have developed strong reputations in their respective markets. Stark Sandblasting and Painting Company has operated in the mid-west for over 30 years with a focus on coatings & linings and fireproofing. Southern Insulation has operated in the Sulphur/Lake Charles area for over 30 years with a focus on insulation. Both businesses have long-standing maintenance relationships in their respective markets and will assist Apache with bolstering its multi-craft capabilities in their geographies.
"We have been approached over the years by other companies, but they were focused solely on growing their company, not looking to better service their clients and the industry," shared Paige Clayton, Owner, Southern Insulation. "Joining Apache allows our craftsmen to continue to thrive in a safety focused, value driven organization that is set up to provide the highest level of service and attention to our customers. We are thrilled to have added capabilities and be part of a company that is doing it right – in every way."
In his communication to company employees and customers, Knigin explained that the opportunity to bolster Apache's presence with an organization of high quality people in one of the fastest growing capital construction marketplaces in the United States made the decision straightforward.
The company's acquisition of Stark Sandblasting is its first expansion into the important Midwest market. It will allow Stark, with its strong relationship based leadership team, to continue to serve and grow its capabilities and services. And, it allows Apache to build a multi-craft footprint in this region.
Stark Sandblasting and Painting Company President, Stelio Flamos, explained, "We have built a strong reputation through our work and our commitment to our customers. By becoming part of Apache Industrial Services, we cannot only continue our legacy of service; we can dramatically expand our ability to support our customers and those who are looking for the level of attention and excellence that we provide. This is a great day for the men and women of our company who will learn what we have known for some time, and that is the level of excellence that Apache represents."
