CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Search Solution Group, a national recruiting firm that specializes in headhunting, held their second fundraiser this past Thursday for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Charlotte. The fundraiser was open to the public and hosted by Nan and Byron's. With free food donated by Nan and Byron's, donated specialty drinks from Republic National Distributing Company, and donated raffle prizes from various different restaurants and companies around Charlotte, Search Solution Group was able to raise more than $900 in donations that all went straight to LLS. Search Solution Group has been fundraising for the past three months for LLS hosting one previous fundraiser for their annual Light the Night Walk, this Saturday on Oct. 18 at the Charlotte Knights Stadium.
With over 100 people in attendance at the event to Party for a Purpose, one free raffle ticket was provided to each guest, so the party was quick to start raffling and put their ticket in their prize of choice. While trying LLS specialty drinks donated through Larken Egleston by Cointreau and Herradura Tequila with Republic National Distributing Company, guests sifted through Charlotte restaurants prizes provided by Dandelion Market, Fleming's Steak House, Pisces Sushi Bar, Prohibition, All American Pub, Tavern on the Tracks, and more. Lark Golf, PRP Wine International, and Search Solution Group all donated gift basket items for the fundraiser prizes.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Their event for Light The Night Walk will be held on Oct. 18 at the Charlotte Knights baseball stadium. The event is a fundraising campaign which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the disease and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams, and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in nearly 200 communities each fall across North America.
