Three Wire Awarded AFFIRST Contract

Will Provide Maintenance, Hosting, and Xtendable(r) Server Migration

Falls Church, VA, Oct. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Three Wire Systems, LLC (Three Wire) has been awarded a contract for maintenance, hosting, and system migration and enhancements for the Air Force Family Integrated Results and Statistical Tracking (AFFIRST) system. The AFFIRST system collects and processes data related to the delivery of Airman & Family Readiness services. It is the hub for the Community Readiness Counselors (CRC), allowing them to share data on customers currently receiving services such as counseling and coaching.

The foundation of AFFIRST is built on a proprietary technology, Xtendable®, which was originally developed by DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc. Upon DefenseWeb's exit from government services, they strategically selected Three Wire to take over the performance on all existing contracts. This transition afforded Three Wire the ability to maintain the workforce and personnel responsible for the original development of the system.

When the Air Force needed to renew the AFFIRST contract, including the migration of the Xtendable® Server from V4 to V5, Three Wire was selected as the contractor.

"Three Wire has demonstrated unmatched understanding of the technology and the steps necessary to provide a timely, cost effective and very low risk transition for the Air Force," states Three Wire CEO Dan Frank. "We stand ready to address the transition of Xtendable® to the new platform and are committed to continuing our exceptional working relationship with the AFPC."

Under the contract Three Wire will provide AFFIRST system maintenance, system hosting and administration, Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance, the continuation of Xtendable® V migration as begun by DefenseWeb, and will additionally provide existing module enhancements.
