VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Oct. 23, 2014) - Cambridge House International today announced that its 2014 Silver Baron Award will be presented to Tahoe Resource Inc.'s President and Chief Operating Officer Ron Clayton.
According to Jay Martin, president of Cambridge House, "The Silver Baron Award embodies 365 days of hard work and perseverance in the mining space, specifically within silver. We are very pleased to present the 2014 award to Mr. Clayton, who has spent most of his career working for the betterment of the silver industry."
Mr. Clayton, 56, has led the Tahoe Resources operations team through development and into commercial production. He has over 30 years' of mine operating experience, primarily in underground silver mines. Prior to joining Tahoe, Mr. Clayton was Senior Vice President, Operations for Hecla Mining Company. He was also Vice President, Operations with Stillwater Mining Company. In addition, Mr. Clayton has held a number of engineering and operations management positions with the Climax Molybdenum Company and Homestake Mining Company. Mr. Clayton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and recently completed the Executive Education Program at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College.
