GLASSBORO, NJ--(Marketwired - Nov 6, 2014) - I-Qest.TV, a national film and video production company, is proud to announce the launch of the 59 Veterans Project crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to employ and train more than 200 veterans in 3D high-definition videography with the historic canvas of America's national parks. The mission is without parallel: to raise $750,000 to deploy 59 teams of retired servicemen and women with cameras for an adventure through 59 U.S. national parks. Once funded, the yearlong journey will be chronicled online and culminate with the production of 59 half-hour episodes.
Developed by professional videographer and former PBS technician, Jeffrey Ehrenkrantz, the 59 Veterans Project is a patriotic tribute not only to the military, but also to the country's national parks, which cover 84 million acres and welcome 273 million visitors each year. "America's veterans have served our country with valor, and our parks are in need of protection and attention," says Ehrenkrantz. "The 59 Veterans Project allows every American to give back with an honorable investment in our country's future."
The 59 Veterans Project is a bridge between employment, education and entertainment, providing an engaging training program, an interactive tour of national parks and authentic reality programming. Supporters receive exclusive incentives including a souvenir journal, limited edition silver and gold coins and the opportunity to accompany teams during their journey.
"It's an undertaking beyond description -- it has to be experienced -- and that's why we're so excited about the launch," says Ehrenkrantz. "The opportunities for veterans, the teamwork encounters, the national park landscapes, the audience connections -- this is reality programming of historic proportions and we can't wait to get the first boots on the ground and share it with the world."
