LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 13, 2014) - ReNewable Now, the eco-conscious TV series and radio program, which provides "the business side of green," teamed up with the Sustainability Business Council of Los Angeles (SBCLA) and UCLA to host a panel discussion entitled "Sustainable Success Stories." Peter Arpin, who is a partner at international mover Arpin Group and host of ReNewable Now, moderated the panel.
The event featured three panelists who are each leaders in their corporate social responsibility or sustainability divisions. The panelists included Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks, CEO of Earth Friendly Products; Amit Jain, CSR manager of Pharmavite LLC; and Nurit Katz, CSO of UCLA.
"We focused on the success that these leaders have had in creating sustainable business practices that have helped reduce their waste output and their energy consumption," said Peter Arpin. "I believe the more that we share these sustainability success stories, the more we will encourage other companies to realize significant cost savings, while reducing their impact on the environment. It's a win-win."
Before the event, Peter Arpin toured several southern California companies that are focused on sustainable business practices, waste reduction, and lower energy consumption. He also met with Matt Petersen, chief sustainability officer of the City of Los Angeles.
