Neo Technology Wraps Up GraphConnect 2014 San Francisco With Record Attendance of More Than 700 Graph Database Enthusiasts

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2014) - Neo Technology, creators of Neo4j, the world's leading graph database, concluded its third annual GraphConnect 2014 San Francisco conference with a record of more than 700 attendees. Held last month, GraphConnect once again brought together the brightest minds in graph database technology for two days of hands-on trainings, which drew 200 participants, and community presentations -- including startup and enterprise panels moderated by journalists from PandoDaily and eWeek.

Eighteen sessions explored the use of graph technology in a variety of verticals and use cases. An impressive lineup of speakers came from leading organizations including eBay, UBS, TomTom, Pitney Bowes, Medium, Polyvore, FiftyThree, Elementum, Cambridge Intelligence, Tom Sawyer Software, Linkurious, GraphAware and MediaHound. Talks were offered by all three co-authors of "Graph Databases," including keynotes by Neo Technology Co-founder and CEO Emil Eifrem, and Chief Scientist Jim Webber.

GraphConnect is the only event dedicated to graph database technology, and highlights Neo's work in pioneering graph databases since 2000. The event's massive, continued year-after-year growth reflects the rocketing demand for graph database technology as more and more enterprises recognize the power of the graph to make the most of their connected data. Indeed, graph databases are the fastest-growing category in database management systems, and one that Forrester predicts will reach over 25% of all enterprises by 2017.1

"The exponential growth of GraphConnect proves that graph database technology continues to be top of mind for virtually every type of organization in every industry," said Emil Eifrem, Co-creator of Neo4j and Neo Technology's Co-founder and CEO. "As the Neo4j community continues to expand, we are seeing more and more innovative use cases where graphs are the enabling technology for organizations across the board to make the most of their connected data. Graphs are continuing to eat the world, and Neo4j is at the forefront of this revolution."

As part of the conference, Neo also handed out its third annual 'Graphie Awards' to acknowledge the outstanding work being done by Neo4j community members and customers. The only award of its kind, the 'Graphies' recognize and celebrate developers and teams who are transforming the world through their development of innovative graph databases.
