The honor recognizes the Old Fort plant for near-perfect quality during the one-year period from March 2013 through March 2014.

To be eligible for the GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award, suppliers must demonstrate outstanding performance on 13 stringent quality performance criteria, including customer satisfaction, on-time delivery and zero quality issues. In addition, they must have achieved the cross-functional support of the entire GM organization. Just 17% of GM's global supply base is granted such an award.
