Summit Partners Announces Three Promotions

BOSTON, MA and MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 21, 2015) - Summit Partners, a leading global growth equity firm, today announced three promotions. Peter Rottier was promoted to Managing Director, and Peter Francis and Colin Mistele were promoted to Vice President.

• Peter Rottier has been promoted to Managing Director. Peter joined Summit's Boston office as a Vice President in 2006, moved to the firm's Silicon Valley office in 2009, and has served as a Principal since 2011. Focusing primarily on the technology sector, Peter's board directorships and investment experience includes Answers (acquired by Apax Partners), Help/Systems, Infor, ISH (acquired by PwC), Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ: FUEL), Salient Partners, Snap Fitness (acquired by TZP Capital Partners), Solid State Equipment (acquired by Veeco Instruments), Systems Maintenance Services and Tivoli Audio. Prior to joining Summit, Peter worked at KSL Capital Partners, Stone Arch Capital and RBC Capital Markets. He holds a BS in finance from the University of Minnesota and received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

• Peter Francis has been promoted to Vice President. Peter joined the Boston office as a Senior Associate in 2011 and moved to the firm's Silicon Valley office in 2012. Focusing primarily on the healthcare sector, Peter's board and investment experience includes Solutionreach. Prior to Summit, Peter worked for Jefferies & Company and UBS Investment Bank on the global healthcare team, focused on U.S. and Asian healthcare services and real estate. He holds a BA in economics from Cornell University.

• Colin Mistele has been promoted to Vice President. Colin joined Summit's Silicon Valley office as an Associate in 2011 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2013. Focusing primarily on the technology sector, Colin's investment experience includes Delphix, Gainsight, JAMF Software, RiskIQ, Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ: FUEL), TeleSign, Uber and Wowza Media Systems. Prior to Summit, Colin worked for Union Square Advisors, Accenture and Electronic Arts. He holds a BS in finance and marketing from Lehigh University.
