Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation Offers Two New Grants For Pro-Israel College Students

Offers Grants to Increase Pro-Israel Activism on College Campuses Across the United States

ENCINO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 31, 2015) - The Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation (the "Foundation") announced two new grants to help unite pro-Israel students on college campuses across the country. The Foundation has created the Milstein Family Foundation Grant and the Milstein Coalition Building Grant to help increase pro-Israel activism on campuses across the United States.

"These grants are meant to support students' pro-Israel activism and help them better advocate for Israel," said Adam Milstein, co-founder of the Foundation and one of the nation's leading Pro-Israel philanthropists.

Milstein Family Foundation Grants
Milstein Family Foundation Grants are given toward student-led initiatives that are aimed at strengthening the pro-Israel sentiment on campus through cultural events, coalition building initiatives, campaigns, social media activism and more. Up to 50 grants of up to $1,000 each will be awarded annually on a rolling basis. Applicants can fill out the online application at www.milsteinff.org/milstein-foundation-grants.

Milstein Coalition Building Grants
In collaboration with Hasbara Fellowships, Milstein Coalition Building Grants enable pro-Israel students to build bridges with various cultural and political groups on campus, including initiatives such as political clubs, cultural clubs, as well as fraternities and sororities. Applicants can fill out the online application at www.milsteinff.org/milstein-coalition-building-grants.

According to Milstein, as an activist working to strengthen the Jewish People and their homeland, the State of Israel, his charitable giving of time, talent and funds is driven by a personal belief system that he calls "active philanthropy," which grew out of his devotion to Tikkun Olam and his determination to make a significant impact for the Jewish People.

"Most of my charitable work involves connecting people," said Milstein. "Active philanthropy entails uniting organizations and supporting programs that will enhance their working together to create a 'force multiplier,' thereby dramatically increasing the effectiveness of the program or organizations."

Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation
In 2000, the Milsteins created the Foundation with a twofold mission: 1) to strengthen the State of Israel, the homeland of the Jewish People, and its specific ties with the United States of America; and 2) to ensure the Jewish identity and the special affinity to the State of Israel of the young and future Jewish Generations.

Specifically, the organization's philanthropic philosophy is to educate and train students and young professionals to identify with their Jewish roots, connect with the State of Israel, ignite their Jewish pride, and provide them with facts and the knowledge to advocate for the State of Israel and the Jewish people in their schools, campuses, among their friends and in their communities.
