ANDOVER, MA--(Marketwired - April 17, 2015) - Morpho (Safran), through its subsidiary Morpho Detection, today announced the opening of a new research and development (R&D) and manufacturing center in Andover, Massachusetts.
Dedicated to the development and testing of advanced detection technologies, Morpho Detection's new Andover facility houses its (ITMS™) Trace Explosives and Narcotics Detection Center of Excellence and the R&D and production facility for its newest product -- the SourceID™ handheld Radiation Isotope Identification Device (RIID).
Previously located in Middlesex County for more than 20-years, Morpho Detection has assembled and shipped more than 23,000 explosives and narcotics trace detectors from Massachusetts to airports, air cargo facilities, military and government installations and secure locations around the world.
