Federal By-elections Underway

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 3, 2015) -

• The writs of election were issued today by Elections Canada for the federal by-elections to be held on Monday, October 19, 2015, in the electoral districts of Ottawa West-Nepean, Peterborough and Sudbury (Ontario) to fill three vacancies in the House of Commons.
• All Canadian citizens in Ottawa West-Nepean, Peterborough and Sudbury who are
  at least 18 years of age on election day are eligible to vote.

Elections Canada is an independent body set up by Parliament.
