Direct ChassisLink, Inc. Announces Expansion of Its DIRECT CHASSISLINK POOL, and Termination of the Grand Alliance Chassis Pool

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (“DCLI”) is pleased to announce the expansion of the DIRECT CHASSISLINK POOL (“DCLP”) operating in Southern California, effective May 1, 2015.  DCLI will contribute its chassis assets formerly included in the GACP to the DCLP, and the GACP will terminate operations as a stand-alone pool.

As a result of these changes, the DCLP operating in Los Angeles/Long Beach will now include approximately 28,000 total chassis, and all of these chassis will continue to be interoperable across the port complex via DCLP’s participation in the recently-established Pool of Pools program.

The pool will provide service for the former GACP customers, Hyundai, MOL, Hapag-Lloyd, OOCL, Hamburg Sud and Pasha, as well as current DCLP customers, Maersk, MSC and Horizon; all will continue to secure chassis services through DCLP at DCLP’s current stop/start locations.

The wide range of logistics choices open to DCLP customers and users will remain, with the interoperability of all chassis contributed to the Pool of Pools being key to maintaining high quality service to our customers. Customers formerly interchanging chassis through GACP will continue to do so through DCLP and enjoy uninterrupted access to the Pool of Pools chassis.

DCLP will continue to operate the youngest chassis fleet available to the marine container shipping industry, and is backed by a comprehensive no cost road service program and accurate and timely invoicing. For information please refer to our website at www.dcli.com.

Charlotte, NC-based DCLI, one of the Littlejohn & Co., LLC group of companies, manages an intermodal chassis fleet of 122,000 units across the country.  Employing over 245 talented individuals nationwide, DCLI is a major provider of intermodal chassis equipment to the marine and rail transportation industries.
