CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Search Solution Group has been selected out of a record-breaking pool of nominations as the second place winner of this year's Charlotte Business Journal's Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte Award. This award is presented to companies who have met or exceeded the overall national average score calculated by the Healthiest Employers Organization. Search Solution Group claimed the award by attending the 5th Annual Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte Awards & Wellness Expo that was held at the U.S. National Whitewater Center.
During the event, company representatives from Search Solution Group cheered on the participants of the 5k-run/walk and raft race, and enjoyed networking with other Charlotte professionals during the awards luncheon. Angelique Morabito, the Communications Director, accepted the award, and the company was pleased to learn that all Charlotte winners had scored an average of 61 based on the Healthiest Employer Index (HEI), with the national average being 50. Search Solution Group was awarded second place in the Healthiest Employers, small company's category, which includes Charlotte businesses that have 1-99 employees.
The healthiest employer's award program has worked with over 4,000 employers, and recognizes organizations that are committed to creating a healthy workplace using six key categories to measure wellness: Leadership Commitment, Communications and Marketing, Foundational Components, Programming and Interventions, Strategic Planning, Reporting and Analysis. The categories, scoring, and benchmarking were formed with the help of a national, non-biased group of representatives from the academic, medical, wellness and business communities. The assessment is comprised of over 60 scored questions with a corresponding point value for each answer. These questions contain more than 600 data points for scoring and benchmarking, and organizations are ranked based on their individual answers.
