Winmate Contracted to Deploy 300 Servers Throughout Uruguay

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - May 19, 2015) - Winmate Communication Inc., a global leader in developing advanced rugged mobile technologies, was recently selected by Uruguay's government-owned power company to deploy its IV7T-RK2U Embedded Server PC in electrical substations throughout the country.

Winmate will provide 300 of the servers to be installed, mounted on racks in groups of three. These will become part of the bus substation in an IEC-61850 architecture and IEEE-1588 protocol for synchronization and transmission of information back to the remote control center.

IV7T-RK2U's processing power comes from Intel's "Ivy Bridge" 3rd-generation core processor, with maximum turbo frequency of 3.6GHz. It is designed in a "2U" format and features number I/Os, including four full-size high-speed USB 3.0 ports, dual RJ45 gigabit Ethernet jacks, two legacy PS/2 ports for mouse and keyboard, two legacy DB9 RS232 serial ports, a jumper-selectable RS232/422/485 port, as well as VGA for a console.
