Stefanini's Sally Brandtneris recognized as Finalist for 2015 "CFO of the Year" Award

SOUTHFIELD , Mich., June 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Stefanini Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sally Brandtneris has earned one of three coveted spots as a Finalist for the 2015 "Crain's CFO of the Year Awards," the annual competition conducted by Crain's Detroit Business. Stefanini is a global $1B provider of IT outsourcing, applications consulting & management, and strategic staffing, with its North American headquarters located in Southfield, MI. The winners of the Award will be honored at an event on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at The Henry hotel in Dearborn, MI.

Ms. Brandtneris was cited for her work and leadership in restructuring the accounting and transactions procedures of the multinational IT firm, and setting up a common treasury platform that all entities of the company in countries around the world can use, "leading the charge" as the company continues to expand globally.

"It's gratifying to earn this recognition for the dynamic vision that we're pursuing at Stefanini, and the role my colleagues and extended team around the world have played in that success," Brandtneris said.  "As we continue to extend our track record of success and grow around the world, I'm pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to, and help lead, those achievements."

For 2015, the criteria for the CFO of the Year Awards focused on candidates who overcame unique challenges and stood apart in the ranks of CFOs, fulfilling the role of the CFO to provide as much stability as possible for his or her company.  The Awards are positioned as a chance to highlight the specialized and important work that financial officers are doing behind the scenes, recognizing those with exceptional skills in helping their companies navigate business challenges.

In addition to her accomplishments on the job, Ms. Brandtneris was noted for her many contributions to both the civic and financial communities, including her service as immediate Past President of Financial Executives International (FEI) Detroit; as a member of the FEI Detroit Board; and for her role in leading FEI Diversity at the national level.  Her service to the local Michigan community includes her service as a Mentor for MCWT (Michigan Council of Women in Technology), which Stefanini sponsors, fostering the growth of women in careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Ms. Brandtneris also drove the effort on Stefanini's behalf to contribute to CARE USA, investing in women and children's health in the Western Region of Nepal.
