CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., June 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Once again, Mondo Super X Performance surfaces will be underfoot for important track and field competitions this weekend.
The first meet, the 2015 U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships, will be June 19-21 at the Robert and Alexandra Klas Center, which is located on the campus of Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Two hundred top U.S. athletes are expected to compete in the event, including Tatyana McFadden, an 11-time Paralympic medalist who set new world records in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meter T54 races and won her second straight marathon grand slam in 2014. The event serves as a selection event for athletes competing at August's 2015 Parapan American Games and October's 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships.
The second competition is the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation New Balance Nationals Outdoor track and field championship. The meet, also June 19-21, is in its 25th year and will take place at Irwin Belk Track at Aggie Stadium on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Returning champions, All-Americans and new faces contending for titles will be competing. Last June at NBNO, three national records, four national class records and 34 meet records were set.
