In this role, Dr. Couture will lead the Company’s R&D strategy and will help identify and drive strategic opportunities in new and existing markets for the Company’s growing portfolio of unique detection imaging solutions.

Dr. Couture has more than 14 years of experience developing detection imaging platforms and modalities and holds a dozen patents, with several more pending. He joins AS&E from GE Global Research, where he served as Senior Scientist and Technical Project Lead, responsible for multi-disciplinary teams developing innovative detection solutions for security, industrial, and medical applications using X-ray, computed tomography (CT), and other technologies. Dr. Couture completed post-doctoral studies at Cornell University and has authored numerous scientific publications, primarily in the area of digital X-ray detectors. He earned a Ph.D. in physics from Cornell University and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
