The Calgary Food Bank has community events going on throughout the city as part of Put the Boots to Hunger, our annual Stampede food and fundraising campaign that helps keep the shelves full through the summer months. Make a donation while you are out at any community event!
Calgary Farmers' Market Chili Cook-off
Friday, July 10 & Saturday, July 11
11 a.m. - 3 p.m
Calgary Farmers' Market (510 -77 Avenue SE)
The Calgary Farmers' Market presents their seventh annual Chili Cook-off event, with farmers' market vendors cooking up their best batches of chili. For a cash donation to the food bank, participants will taste each chili, vote on their favorite, and will be entered into a draw to win a prize from the market!
Fourth Annual Angus Cattle Run
Friday, July 10

Eau Claire Market (200 Barclay Parade SW)
This annual 5K Fun Run is completely in support of the Children's Milk Program- all the more reason to dress as a cowboy, western zombie, or a jersey cow! Entry is a $20.00 donation to the Calgary Food Bank. Cowboy-boots optional!
Art for Food 2015 - Group Show
July 11 - August 8
Herringer Kiss Gallery (790A - 11 Ave SW)
Help support the Calgary Food Bank through the 7th annual Art for Food Group Show and Sale at the Herringer Kiss Gallery. For the duration of the exhibition, the Herringer Kiss Gallery will donate funds to the Calgary Food Bank towards purchase of emergency food hampers for families in need. For each $1,000 sold, a family of four will be supplied with the required food necessities for one week.
Five Hole for Food

Eau Claire Market (200 Barclay Parade SW)
Will you play hockey for food? Five Hole for Food is a coast-to-coast ball hockey tour collecting donations for Canadian food banks. Bring a cash or food donation for the Calgary Food Bank down to the Eau Claire plaza and join in the fun.
Nolan Hill United Communities Block Party
Saturday, July 18
12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Nolan Hill builders are hosting a block party and having a competition to see who can collect the most donations for the Calgary Food Bank! There will be live music, a free barbecue, a bouncy castle, giant slide, street performers, and the opportunity to tour 10 brand new show homes.
I Can For Kids
July
I Can for Kids is a food drive and fundraising event that supports the Calgary Food Bank and the families and kids that need food during the summer months. You can help put an end to summer childhood hunger in our community. Visit a Save On Foods location during July to purchase an I Can for Kids $5 prepack containing two kid friendly meals, or visit the I Can for Kids fundraising page to make a generous donation.
