BOISE, ID--(Marketwired - Jul 2, 2015) - Mountain America Credit Union is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Idaho Statesman's Annual Chalk Art Festival "People's Choice" Award. The Chalk Art Festival is part of the City of Boise's annual 4th of July celebration at Ann Morrison Park. Dozens of contestants will compete for several prizes for best chalk art entry. The "People's Choice" Award is voted on by festival attendees who will vote by placing a Mountain America token in a bucket next to their favorite chalk art. Tokens will be available at the Mountain America booth at the festival.
"We know from previous years that there are many talented chalk artists in Boise, and the competition is going to be tough. We can't wait to see who wins the crowd's favor, and to present them with the People's Choice Award," says Tim Toy, vice president of branches in the Idaho Region. "The Chalk Art Festival is a great event for families, and it's a delight to be part of a fun-filled day celebrating art and our nation's independence."
The Chalk Art Festival is free to the public. To participate as an artist, preregistration is required: $10 for ages 12-17; $15 for ages 18 and older; $20 for teams of two-to-four people. Artists can register online at www.idahostatesman.com/chalkart.
