TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 14, 2015) - The Express Clydesdales of Express Employment Professionals will attend Edmonton's K-Days parade on Friday, July 17.

Rory Carnegie of Edmonton - a former Make-A-Wish® Northern Alberta child - and his parents, will also ride on the Express Stagecoach in the parade with the Clydesdales, accompanied by Bob Funk, CEO of Express Employment Professionals and Edmonton Express franchise owner Jessica Culo.

The Express Clydesdales schedule for Edmonton's K-Days includes:

  • Clydesdales open house: 2 - 4 p.m. at Expo Center, Hall A
  • Executive reception: 5 - 10 p.m. in the Director's Suite, fourth floor at Northlands Race Track

The team appears in Edmonton fresh from a very successful 2015 Calgary Stampede appearance, where the Express Clydesdales won several first place spots at the Stampede, including the first place Clydesdale Team and first place Six-Horse Hitch. Additionally, Clydesdale "Danny" won the Supreme Champion Clydesdale and Best in Show.

The Express Employment Professionals team is made up of rare black and white Clydesdales, weighing between 1,800 and 2,300 lbs. each. Looming over other horse breeds, Clydesdales mature to an average height of 17 to 19 hands, which is about six feet from the ground to the horse's shoulder.
