The document, Formaldehyde: Is It a Problem in My Home?, was created by AIHA's Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) Committee Task Force on laminate flooring formaldehyde outgassing.
With recent heightened media attention and pending litigation surrounding potential formaldehyde emissions from laminate flooring produced in China, this document provides practical information for consumers.
The fact sheet serves as a resource for consumers who suspect that formaldehyde emissions from laminate flooring in their home may be a danger. AIHA's IEQ Committee states, "This guide is intended to help you decide if you want to investigate a possible indoor formaldehyde problem that you suspect is attributable to laminate flooring."
