NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - July 22, 2015) - Ghostery, a global technology leader empowering consumers and businesses to create safer, faster, and more trusted digital experiences, today announced it has appointed Larry Furr as Vice President of Product. In this role, he will be responsible for guiding Ghostery's product vision as a member of Ghostery's executive team reporting directly to CEO Scott Meyer. Since joining Ghostery, Furr has successfully overseen the development and release of MCM 2.2, the newest version of Ghostery's SaaS digital experience platform.
"Larry's wealth of experience building successful SaaS products in competitive, fast growing markets makes him the perfect fit for this crucial role," said Ghostery CEO Scott Meyer. "As our SaaS platform continues to grow at triple-digit rates, Larry's expertise and his ability to recruit and retain top talent will accelerate our leadership position in the market."
"I'm thrilled to be a part of Ghostery. Our suite of products unites teams across eCommerce, Marketing, IT and WebOps by giving them the tools they need to work together to drive revenue and reduce costs," said Larry Furr, vice president of product at Ghostery.
Furr spent the last four years at Lingotek, where he served as VP of Product Management, reorienting their business plan to promote API integrations between Lingotek's cloud-based translation management system and numerous enterprise business applications. This effort alone doubled company revenue in one year. Prior to Lingotek, Furr served in various product management and marketing roles at inContact, Venafi, AutoPoint, and Nu Skin Enterprises.
"Adding Larry to our team comes at the perfect time for Ghostery, as we move to broaden the reach of our products both with consumers and businesses, as well as make our platform more accessible," said Meyer. "For instance, our Trackermap® LiveScan is now available for free on www.ghostery.com and through key strategic partnerships with market leaders such as Oracle."
"MCM 2.2 is a big step forward. We've added great features to MCM that our clients have asked for," added Furr. "In particular, I'm very excited about the new flexibility to view our data through our APIs, and our custom categorization of vendor tags to pinpoint where opportunities for improvement exist."
