NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - August 04, 2015) - B&H Photo is pleased to share Nikon’s announcement of three new full-frame lenses for their high-performance F-mount lineup: the AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED, AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR, and AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens.

Each lens offers its own unique applications and accomplishments, with the 24-70mm being the first of its kind to offer both an f/2.8 aperture and Vibration Reduction image stabilization. The 24mm expands Nikon’s renowned f/1.8 line with another wide-angle option to complement already available lenses while the 200-500mm features an impressive super telephoto zoom length along with a constant f/5.6 aperture.

Updating their classic professional zoom, Nikon’s AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR lens implements an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism for reliable and consistent aperture control as well as Vibration Reduction image stabilization good for 4 stops of compensation, which, as mentioned before, is a first for this class of lens. It continues a trend of optical excellence through the use of an Aspherical Extra-low Dispersion glass element, traditional aspherical, ED, and High Refractive Index elements, a Nano Crystal Coat, and a fast f/2.8 constant aperture.

The AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED lens fits well between the 20mm and 28mm lenses currently offered in the Nikon FX-format f/1.8 line, providing users another popular option for wide-angle imaging. This lens offers Extra-low Dispersion glass and Aspherical elements along with a Nano Crystal Coat for controlling aberrations and other features that enhance image quality.

Moving to the long side of things, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens offers an incredible, super telephoto zoom range with a constant f/5.6 maximum aperture. This grants consistent imagery and allows photographers to work in a wide range of settings without having to switch lenses. It also utilizes an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism, a fast Silent Wave Motor AF system, a 4.5-stop Vibration Reduction system, and Extra-low Dispersion glass elements. Additionally, it is compatible with Nikon’s teleconverters and has a close focus distance of 7.2 feet.
