This "mini" lamp finds AC&R leaks in tight, cramped areas not accessible to larger, bulkier lamps.
The high-output 400 nm violet light LED offers optimal fluorescent response and contrast and works with all universal /POE dyes. Using a VioMAX Plus lamp makes locating leaks in an AC&R system a simple procedure. Add a small amount of fluorescent dye to the system and let it circulate. The dye will escape with the refrigerant. When scanned with this compact light source, the leak will glow brilliantly.
Weighing a mere 1.6 oz (45 g) and measuring only 9 in (23 cm) in the closed position, the VioMAX Plus is easy to carry around from place to place. The flexible lamp extends to a full 29 inches (74 cm), and with the aid of the large pivoting mirror, measuring 1 inch in diameter (2.54 cm), it's easy to view leaks from any angle in those hard-to-reach areas. The lamp automatically turns on when the shaft is extended and off when the shaft is compressed. HVAC/R technicians will appreciate the convenience of finding all those "hidden" leaks in a complex AC&R system.
Powered by three 1.5 volt (AG3/LR41) batteries (included), the VioMAX Plus has an LED service life of 100,000 hours. The lamp comes in full color clamshell display packaging.
