DEVENS, Mass., Aug. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Learning Express Toys will host a Shopkins trading event Saturday, Sept. 12 at each of its 130 stores nationwide. The free event will be held 1-3 p.m. local time.
During National Shopkins Trading Day, collectors can meet at their local Learning Express Toys to trade the miniature plastic figures with other enthusiasts and complete their collections. The latest Season 3 Shopkins will be available for sale. Shopkins-themed activities and snacks will be part of the festivities at select stores. Collectors can share their finds on social media with the hashtag #LEShopkinsDay.
Shopkins, manufactured by Moose Toys, are collectible, 1-inch characters resembling groceries, shoes, hats and household items. There are more than 140 Shopkins to collect; each is classified as common, rare, ultra-rare or special edition. Shopkins are recommended for ages 5 and up.
