VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - September 07, 2015) - Modern Home Tours LLC is returning to British Columbia for a full weekend of modern home and architecture exploration. During the 3rdAnnual Vancouver Modern Home Tour on Saturday, September 19th, attendees will have the opportunity to explore seven modern homes in the Vancouver area that exemplify modern architecture and living. The following day, Sunday, September 20th, five homes in the small coastal towns of White Rock and Surrey will open their doors for the first-ever White Rock Modern Home Tour. This is every BC resident's chance to see the inside of 'that unique, cool house you always drive by…'
Both tours are featured events within Western Living Magazine's Design Week, which runs from September 17th to 30th. Editor-in-Chief of Western Living, Anicka Quin, co-curated the Vancouver Modern Home Tour. The White Rock Modern Home Tour was curated by Shawna Kliewer of Kliewer Bros. Construction Ltd (KBC) in White Rock, BC.
For the second year in a row, the Chip and Shannon Wilson School of Design (part of Kwantlen Polytechnic University) has been named as the Modern Home Tour local non-profit partner and beneficiary. Fashion marketing students will help staff both events, in return for a donation to the school's program and the opportunity to use the tour as a fundraising vehicle, while also contributing community service hours, a cornerstone of the applied learning that Kwantlen students are known for.
The 3rd Annual Vancouver Modern Home Tour participants include One SEED Architecture + Interiors, Lanefab Design/Build, LCI Design, Natural Balance Home Builders with Frits de Vries, Kevin Vallely Design, Wheeler Developments with Schema Designs, and Wexler Architecture.
The premier White Rock Modern Home Tour participants include KBC Developments, Iredale Group Architecture, Concept to Design Inc., Treeline Construction Limited, and Surfside Construction.
Homes on the 3rd Annual Vancouver Modern Home Tour will open their doors for viewing from 11AM - 5PM on Saturday, September 19th, throughout Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver. All are invited to attend. Tickets for each event are $30 in advance online; $40 on the day of the tour. Combinations tickets for both events are available at a discounted price. Kids under 12 are FREE when accompanying their parents.
