Located in one of the most important technology centers in Europe, the new Broughton Hall facility offers early stage system design, custom engineering support, and superior over-the-air (OTA) testing capabilities for service providers and original equipment manufacturers. The new design center fills a significant need for localized antenna design and test services in Europe, and adds to Airgain’s already established centers in the United States, China, and Taiwan.
The Broughton Hall OTA facility has been configured to replicate the performance in a typical European home while providing isolation from external radio frequency (RF) and wireless interference. This low noise environment is key when comparing and identifying the effect of various antenna and system designs on wireless throughput performance, and provides the basis for Airgain’s superior performance over the competition. The new center will provide single and multi-client Wi-Fi performance testing and validation services for a variety of wireless devices utilizing advanced MIMO configurations and technologies, including WLAN, Bluetooth, and ZigBee.
