USHCC to Honor Jon Munoz of Hilton Worldwide with LGBT Business Advocate Award at 2015 National Convention


WASHINGTON, Sept. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) will proudly award its 2015 LGBT Business Advocate Award to Jon Muñoz, Senior Director for Global Diversity and Inclusion at Hilton Worldwide. Muñoz will be honored during the USHCC National Convention held on September 20-22 in Houston, Texas.

Each year, this accolade is presented to an entrepreneur, corporate representative, community leader or elected official whose work fosters a better understanding and closer cooperation between the LGBT and other diverse communities that drive our nation's economy. The award reception is hosted in partnership with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).

He has also twice served as chairman of the board of directors of the National Hispanic Corporate Council, a non-profit organization focused on providing benchmarking and best practices to corporations maximizing the Hispanic market opportunity.
 
Muñoz actively serves on the Friends of the American Latino Museum Board of Directors, the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association Board of Directors, the League of United Latin American Citizens Corporate Alliance, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People ACT-SO Advisory Council, the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce Advisory Council, the United States Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Brain Trust, and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Senior Executive Corporate Advisory Board.
