Do you want to be part of the most anticipated payments industry event of 2016? Submit a speaking proposal on innovations and developments for payments across retail, mobile and transit markets to become one of the select expert speakers at the Smart Card Alliance’s 2016 Payments Summit.

Proposals must be submitted by Friday, November 6, 2015 to be considered. For guidelines on how to submit, visit http://www.scapayments.com/contact/speaking/. The 9th Annual Smart Card Alliance Payments Summit will be held on April 5-7, 2016 at the Loews Royal Pacific in Orlando, Fla. “There have been significant developments in the U.S. payments ecosystem over the past year. The migration to EMV chip cards is well underway, mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Android Pay are becoming increasingly popular with consumers, and open payments and mobile ticketing are now being integrated into transit systems. These developments are fundamentally changing the way consumers transact, and opening up new and exciting business opportunities,” said Randy Vanderhoof, executive director of the Smart Card Alliance. “The Payments Summit is a great opportunity for thought leaders to share their insights and collaborate with peers on how to best take advantage of these opportunities and create an enhanced and more secure payment experience in the U.S.”

The conference program advisory committee is looking for vendor-neutral, educational presentations that focus on the issuance and usage of smart cards and alternative smart technology that fall into one of the following categories:

  • EMV Contact and Contactless Card Payments Implementations
  • Mobile and NFC-Enabled Payments Implementations
  • Transit Fare Payment Systems Implementations and Technologies
  • Alternate Payment Systems Implementations and Technologies
  • Business Use Cases and Global Payments

For 2016, the Smart Card Alliance is co-locating the event with the ICMA Expo, providing attendees expanded content, exhibits and networking covering the full spectrum of cards and payments. Any individuals and organizations who wish to learn about the real-life applications of payments technologies and systems and card manufacturing are invited to attend the event.
