The 2015 High Horsepower (HHP) Summit Kicks Off in Dallas

Executives from marine, rail, mining, E&P, and power gen operations are convening for North America's largest conference and expo on natural gas fueling, engines and technologies.

DALLAS, TEXAS, Oct. 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 2015 High Horsepower (HHP) Summit officially opens today at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, gathering attendees from around the globe for an in-depth discussion on the environmental and long-term economic benefits of using natural gas to displace diesel fuel in high horsepower applications—including marine, rail, mining, drilling, pressure pumping, and off-pipeline power generation. Over the course of HHP Summit, taking place October 27-29, global leaders are slated to speak about the continued growth and opportunity of natural gas for high horsepower applications, with many presenters and exhibitors expected to make exciting announcements during conference sessions and on the expo hall floor.

"We have witnessed incredible progress in the last 12 months, with a significant number of incredibly important projects having come on-line,"said Erik Neandross, CEO of Gladstein, Neandross & Associates, the clean transportation and energy consulting firm that produces the conference. "The leaders in our industry, including HHP Summit's presenting sponsors, Caterpillar, Chart and Pivotal LNG, continue to make substantial investments in natural gas solutions given the long-term value they know is provided to their customers."

Since its inception, the HHP Summit has served as the meeting place for high horsepower industry stakeholders to share insights from early adopter projects, discuss opportunities to collaborate on infrastructure and technology advancements, and to drive real, tangible progress in the natural gas market.

The 2015 HHP Summit program is focused on educating HHP operators on the economic and environmental value proposition of natural gas and giving them the tools, resources and information needed to consider a transition of their own operations. Program highlights include:

Keynotes and Featured Speakers: The agenda sessions will challenge attendees to consider the long-term energy landscape as they prepare to purchase equipment with a 20 to 40 year asset life. Clean burning, low-cost, domestic natural gas serves as an ideal solution to meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations, particularly given that global economists agree that oil prices will be heading back north. Providing both the end-user and industry perspectives, speakers include:

  • Peter Keller, EVP, TOTE (Keynote Address)
  • Tana Utley, VP, Caterpillar (Opening Address)
  • Aaron Bridges, VP, Chart
  • Peter Tumminello, EVP, Pivotal LNG
  • Mark Schulz, VP, BNSF Railway
  • George Piccioni, Director of Business Development, AEP River Operations

Early Adopter Case Studies: From new LNG production plants to multi-vessel deployment projects, attendees will hear early adopter case studies from peers in the high horsepower industry, including: Devon Energy, Crowley Maritime,  Shell, Ferus, Gaslink, GE, Harvey Gulf, PG &E Hawaiian Electric, Hess Corporation, Moran, Nor Lines, Yukon Energy, Stabilis Energy, among many others.

Expo Hall: The show floor will offer access to the industry's largest display of natural gas engines, equipment and technology from nearly 100 exhibitors. Attendees will get hands-on access to the latest technology and have the opportunity to talk to representatives about engine and equipment specifications before making an investment.

HHP Summit 2015 will host some of the top names across the high horsepower and natural gas industries. A detailed list of this year's sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and equipment is available at www.hhpsummit.com
