RedBrick Health Expands Management Team

Patrick Midden Appointed Vice President, Compliance; Andrew Mellin, M.D. Appointed Vice President, Medical Director


MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RedBrick Health, a leading provider of technology-enabled enterprise solutions that empower individuals to improve their health behaviors and make smarter healthcare decisions, today announced the addition of two new executives to help lead the company through its next phase of growth. As Vice President, Compliance, Patrick Midden will lead the company's ongoing privacy and security initiatives, and will oversee its compliance programs. Additionally, Dr. Andrew Mellin joins RedBrick Health as Vice President, Medical Director. He will support the company's health system clients as they roll out RedBrick-powered employee and population health initiatives.

Mr. Midden joins RedBrick from Batison Consulting Inc., where he developed privacy, security and compliance programs for clients. Prior to his role as a consultant, Mr. Midden led compliance efforts at Prime Therapeutics LLC, where he served as the privacy officer. In that role, he expanded Prime's existing privacy program to protect prescription records for millions of individuals, and also worked to help develop the company's Medicare and Medicaid compliance program. Mr. Midden received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law.

Dr. Mellin brings 15 years of health information technology leadership for provider systems, including electronic health records and population health solutions, to RedBrick Health's growing health systems business segment. In his previous work at McKesson Corporation, Dr. Mellin formed an innovation group that developed a real-time quality analytics solution for health systems and created several patents and pending patents for health information technology. He also spent 15 years as a hospitalist at United Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Mellin received an M.D. from Duke University and a MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
