WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) commends Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) for their prize-winning diabetes prevention and care campaign, Cuida Tu Don, which won seven awards at the Direct to Consumer (DTC) Multicultural Health Conference. The initiative engages, educates and inspires the 3.2 million Hispanics in the United States with type 2 diabetes to stay healthy while managing their illness.
Every year, the DTC Multicultural Health Conference presents awards for the best campaigns aimed at diverse audiences. Boehringer Ingelheim won more prizes than any of their competitors. The company was awarded the gold prize for Best Hispanic Campaign, Best Television Campaign, Best Website, and Best in Show (across all categories and entrants). Boehringer Ingelheim also won silver prizes for Best Point of Care Program, Best Digital Campaign, and Best Disease Education.
