The IPSO Alliance (IPSO) today announced its participation in Designers of Things taking place at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. on December 2 and 3, 2015. The IPSO Pavilion, located in booth 243, will showcase how companies are using Internet Protocol (IP), with exhibits from the 10 semi-finalists for the 2015 IPSO CHALLENGE as well as current IPSO member companies Centero, Micrium and Sigma Designs.
"The IPSO CHALLENGE offers inventors and start-ups in the industry the opportunity to showcase how they use Internet Protocol (IP) and open standards in building the Internet of Things (IoT)," said Nicholas Ashworth, Treasurer of the IPSO Alliance and CHALLENGE Co-Chairman. "With entries coming in from around the world, the quality and variety of this year's contestants was truly impressive. We look forward to seeing the prototypes first hand and selecting the 2015 winner during Designers of Things."
The IPSO CHALLENGE encourages entrepreneurs, makers, students and professionals in the technology sector to submit designs using Internet Protocol (IP) to win monetary awards, global exposure and unique networking opportunities through IPSO and its sponsors, led by Gold Sponsor Google and Silver Sponsor Atmel. Benefits for entrants include development hardware/software kits provided by additional CHALLENGE sponsors, including ARM, Atmel, Freescale, Micrium, Sigma Designs, STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments. Additionally, semi-finalists receive mentorship from respected industry leaders to assist them in presenting a polished demonstration to the public.
