ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adacel announced today that the Company has been selected by the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to rehost the airport's driver training simulator systems. Contract value for the systems and associated system operator training will be up to U.S. $310,000.
The existing DFW systems are older versions of Adacel's airport driving simulator. These will be upgraded to Adacel's newly released "AeroDRIVE" driving simulator platform and will enable DFW to expand their Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA) Part 139 flight line driver training program. The new systems include a site specific 3D visual database depicting both the DFW airport as well as the landside environment.
Speaking of the award, Gary Pearson, Adacel's Chief Executive Officer said "It is very gratifying that Dallas Fort Worth has again selected Adacel to provide the backbone systems for their extensive and successful driver training program."
Adacel's AeroDRIVE is a comprehensive simulator specifically designed to train vehicle operators to safely drive in an airport environment. The AeroDRIVE simulator includes a comprehensive suite of scenario creation tools to enable DFW instructors to define their own scenarios and modify key elements of the 3D environment. Optional modules are available to train for specific airport driving applications such as Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting.
