Rock the Earth Announces New Executive Director

Paige Heydon Joins to Lead Environmental Advocacy Organization to New Heights


DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Dec 21, 2015) - Rock the Earth, a national nonprofit environmental organization that works to protect America's natural resources, announced that Paige Heydon has joined as Executive Director.

Heydon brings more than 18 years of non-profit experience to Rock the Earth, including 10 years in management and leadership roles. She was most recently the executive director at Saddle Up Foundation, a Colorado non-profit dedicated to empowering disabled individuals through equine assisted and other nontraditional therapies. Prior to that, Heydon was executive director at The Park People, a Denver-based non-profit that works to preserve, enhance and advocate for Denver's parks, recreation resources, open space and urban forest.

"I'm excited to be able to use my nonprofit and advocacy background at Rock the Earth. It's a role I've coveted because it marries two of my greatest passions -- music and the environment," Heydon said.

Her expertise and experience bring a strong focus on strategic planning, finance management, administration, fundraising and board development to Rock the Earth. Heydon holds a Master's Degree in Non-Profit Management from Regis University in Denver.
