Through co-owned Visio, Fabege and Peab share development rights for the Råsunda property. The original property comprised approximately 16,000 sqm of existing office buildings, 19,000 sqm of commercial development rights and 70,000 sqm of housing development rights. Fabege and Peab have now agreed to split their ownership, whereby Fabege will acquire the commercial portion, comprising the existing office buildings and commercial development rights, and Peab will acquire all housing development rights. As previously announced, Fabege will use its commercial development rights to construct an office building for such companies as Telenor Sweden. “We are now splitting the development rights for the former Råsunda Stadium, as planned. Fabege’s acquisition of the commercial buildings and development rights is in line with our ambition to continue the development of Solna. We are happy to now assume total responsibility for the continued development and construction of the office property that will become home to Telenor Sweden in the second half of 2018,” says Christian Hermelin, CEO of Fabege.
